FSSAI Basic Registration is for small food and beverages businesses which are expecting a small turnover uptoRs. 12 lakhs per annum. As name signifies, it is a basic form of FSSAI Food License, it can be availed by filling the FSSAI registration form. Nearly, 35 States/UTs have been issuing a License / Registration certificate online.

Renewal of the FSSAI Basic Registration

After the validity of a year, renewal of the FSSAI should be made in order to continue the business.

The criteria specified in rules is as follows:

  • Annual Turnover below Rs. 12 Lakhs- FSSAI Registration.
  • Annual Turnover between Rs. 12 Lakhs to 20 Crores- State License.
